1. Pass CBSA Customs Brokers Professional Examination

2. Hire an employee who has passed CBSA Customs Brokers Professional Examination and have all the requirements to apply for Customs Broker’s Licence. 

How to apply for Custom’s Brokers Licence

1. Application for Customs Brokers Licence – Form L53.

2. Customs Brokers Questionnaire for Owner & Qualified Officer – Form L60. 

3. Incorporation Documents – Company’s Registration. 

4. Amendment of Corporation – new company – not applicable. 

5. Security – Customs Bond – Form D 120 – CAD 50,000.00 – for Broker’s Licence. 

6. Minutes/Resolutions of Shareholder Meeting – Appointment of Director .

7. Minutes/Resolutions of Meeting of Board of Director – Appointment of Qualified Officer.

8. Resolution – Specimen Signatures of two authorised signatories of the company. 

9. Financial Documents – New company not required. 

10. A copy of the Qualified Officer’s Certificate of Qualification. 

11. A copy of proof of Canadian Citizen of the Director of the Company. 

12. A copy of proof of Canadian Citizen of Qualified Officer. 

13. A Cheque for CAD 600.00 payable to Receiver General of Canada – every year. 

14. Another D-120 Bond from CAD 25,000.00 for Accounting for Imported Goods and Payment of Duties Regulations. 

15. Account Security Number.

16. Display Customs Broker’s Licence In Office

17. Office should have name of the company displayed outside sign. 

18. CAD 600.00 annual renewable of Customs Broker’s Licence.
